A flush-mount waste chute sits completely level with the surface of the worktop.   For standard public washrooms primarily collecting discarded paper hand towels, a diameter between 130mm and 150mm is the industry standard. This size is large enough for folded or crumpled towels to pass through easily without jamming, yet small enough to prevent users from accidentally dropping larger personal items or attempting to stuff bulky items inside.

  The chute itself is simply a smooth, hollow metal sleeve that guides debris downward. Directly beneath the chute, inside your vanity cabinet or under-sink cupboard, you must place a standard free-standing plastic or wire waste bin lined with a rubbish bag.
